A ball stretcher is a ring or sleeve worn around the scrotum, above the balls, that pulls them down and away from the body. It gives a constant feeling of weight and tug, makes the balls more prominent, and is worn for the sensation, the look and for CBT play, from soft silicone for beginners to heavy stainless steel for experienced wearers.

Height and weight decide the feel
The height of a stretcher, measured from top to bottom, decides how far the balls are pushed down; the weight decides the pull. The Steel by Shots stainless steel range comes in heights of 1.5 cm (the Magnet Round models), 2.0 cm and 3.0 cm, plus an Oval Ball Stretcher of 3.5 cm (€48.95 to €69.95). The Prowler Red Silicone Ball Stretcher comes in Small, Medium and Large with heights of 20, 30 and 40 mm and a 34 mm inner diameter (€16.95 to €21.95).
Magnetic stretchers
Magnetic models open into two halves and close with built-in magnets, so you put them on without forcing your balls through a ring. The Steel by Shots Magnet Round Ball Stretchers, the Steel Triad Magnetic Ball Stretchers and the XR Brands Magna-Chute and Magnet Master XL are all stainless steel; the Magnet Master XL gives almost 450 g of pull.
Soft options and weights
Silicone stretchers are flexible, warm and easy to put on, which makes them the best start: the Prowler Red set and the Hunkyjunk Fractal and Gyroball (€16.95 to €21.95). The PerfectFitBrand Bull Bag and Bull Bag XL (€36.95) are a stretchy sleeve with a weight. For extra pull, hang a weight from a stretcher, such as the Red Leather Ballstretcher Weights (2 x 50 g or 2 x 100 g) or the XR Brands Oppressor's Orb, which adds 227 g of stainless steel. The Steel Wooden Humbler (€38.95) is a different device: a bar behind the thighs that keeps the balls pulled back.
Fit
The inner diameter has to fit snugly above the balls without pinching the skin; most of our steel and silicone stretchers have an inner diameter of 31 to 36 mm. Start with a low height and light weight and build up slowly over weeks rather than days.
Wearing it safely
Put a stretcher on when soft and relaxed, with a little water-based lubricant; warm water helps. Start with 15 to 30 minutes. Take it off immediately if you feel pain, numbness or cold, or see the skin turn dark or blue. Do not sleep in a ball stretcher or wear heavy weights for long periods. Wash steel and silicone with warm water and soap, and wipe leather with a damp cloth.
