XXL dildos: how to choose and take a huge dildo

Opdateret 5. oktober 2026

Some men collect XXL dildos the way others collect watches. Others saw a scene and want to know if they can take it too. Either way, a huge dildo is a project, not an impulse buy. This guide runs from a 30 cm XXL dong to the longest pieces we stock: how to read the numbers, how to work up and how to stay in one piece.

Length, insertable length and diameter

Every product page lists up to three sizes, and they mean different things.

  • Total length is the toy from tip to base, balls and suction cup included. It is the number in the name.
  • Insertable length is what can actually go in. On a realistic dildo with balls it is often 5 to 10 cm less than the total. The RealRock Extra Large Straight with Balls 33 cm has 26.7 cm insertable.
  • Diameter is the width at the thickest point. One centimetre more diameter is a much bigger step than ten centimetres more length.

Compare the diameter with the plug or toy you already take comfortably, and go up half a centimetre to a centimetre at a time. The size guide explains how to measure what you already own.

Depth play or width play

Depth play is about length: going past the second sphincter and feeling a toy really deep inside. You want long, slim and flexible. The Ouch! Ass Spike Dildo 34 cm has 32 cm insertable at only 3.3 cm wide and a tapered tip, a sensible first spike dildo. Next come the Ass Spike 50 cm (47 cm insertable, 5 cm wide) and the anal snakes: the Ouch! Textured Anal Snake 55 cm with 51 cm insertable, or the silicone Fiction Cocks Tentacle Tyrant 55 cm with 53 cm insertable at 5.5 cm.

Width play is about the stretch and that full feeling. The Doc Johnson Big Boy Dong (24.1 cm insertable, 5.6 cm wide) is a classic first XXL dong. From there the RealRock 38 cm goes to 7.6 cm, the Ouch! Realistic Giant to 8 cm and the XR Brands Titan to 10.2 cm. At that width you are close to fisting territory, and you should train like it.

The longest ones

Above 50 cm it becomes a statement. The Moby Super Dildo is 60 cm long. Its big brother, the Moby Huge Long Dildo, is sold as the one metre dildo, stands about 90 cm tall and weighs more than 22 kg. Be honest with yourself: that one is a party piece, a photo prop and a conversation starter far more than something you ride. The full range is in XXL and giant dildos.

Materials and firmness

  • PVC is the most common material for big dildos: firm, heavy, detailed and affordable at these sizes. It holds its shape, which helps with width play, but gives little. It is not fully non-porous, so wash it well and keep it for yourself or use a condom when sharing.
  • Silicone is non-porous, warms up nicely and stays flexible, which is why long anal snakes in silicone follow your curves instead of fighting them. Use water-based lube with it.
  • TPE (often sold as ULTRASKYN or similar) is the softest and most skin-like. It is slightly porous, so clean it well, dry it well and store it on its own.

Soft or firm? A softer toy forgives a bad angle but can buckle on deep strokes, a firm one goes exactly where you aim it. For depth, flexible wins. For width, a firmer toy with a smooth head is easier to control. Store PVC and TPE apart: the materials can react with each other.

Suction cups and bases

With a toy this heavy, your hands get tired before your ass does. A good suction cup lets you ride it on a tiled wall, the floor or a chair, so you control depth and speed with your own body weight, which is the safest way to take an XXL dildo. The RealRock, the Ouch! Realistic Giant and the XR Brands Raging Rhino (34.4 cm insertable) all have one, and there are more in suction cup dildos. Press it onto a clean, smooth, dry surface and check that it holds before you put your weight on it.

Lube: water, silicone or hybrid

  • Water-based is the safe choice with every material and washes off easily. It dries out on long sessions, so keep the bottle close. For big toys, pick a thick anal formula.
  • Silicone-based lasts much longer, but it can damage silicone toys and, over time, soft PVC and TPE. Unless the product page says the toy can take it, save it for steel and glass.
  • Hybrid is a water base with a little silicone: more cushion and glide than plain water, still easy to wash off. Try it on a small spot of the toy first.

For real width, a thick fisting lube stays where thin gels run off. Use more than you think, and add more as soon as it feels less slick.

Hygiene and douching

A long toy goes where a short one never reaches, so for depth play most men douche first: 30 to 60 minutes before, plain lukewarm water, low pressure. The details are in how to use an anal shower. Afterwards, wash the toy with warm water and mild soap or a toy cleaner and let it dry completely.

Safety first, size second

  • Warm up. Ten to fifteen minutes with a smaller toy or plug makes all the difference.
  • Go slow. Let your body open around the head, breathe out as you push and wait before you go deeper.
  • Stop at pain. Stretching is a pressure you can breathe through. Sharp pain means stop, not push harder.
  • Never force anything, and do not combine big toys with poppers, alcohol or anything else that numbs you.
  • Build up over weeks, not in one evening. If you see more than a trace of blood or the pain does not go away, stop and see a doctor.

How to choose

  • Start from the diameter you already take comfortably and add 0.5 to 1 cm.
  • Read the insertable length, not the total length.
  • Depth: long, slim and flexible. Width: shorter, thicker, firmer, with a smooth head.
  • Pick a suction cup if you want to ride hands-free.

Frequently asked questions

What size counts as an XXL dildo?

There is no official line, but most men call a dildo XXL from about 25 cm insertable or from 5 to 6 cm wide.

Can I really take a 55 cm dildo?

Some men can, after months of practice. A long anal snake is slim and flexible, so it is about patience and relaxing rather than stretching. Start with a slim toy of 30 to 35 cm and work up. Nobody hands out prizes for the full length.

Which lube is best for a huge dildo?

A thick, water-based anal lube works with every material and is the safe choice. For serious width, go for a fisting lube. Silicone lube only where the product page says the toy can take it.
